Data Release 2017 EWAS

Data Release 2017 EWAS

A subset of the Genetic Factors for Osteoporosis (GEFOS) consortium performed an epigenome-wide association study of DNA methylation levels estimated from whole blood using the Illumina HumanMethylation450 BeadChip and DXA-derived bone mineral density measured at the femoral neck and lumbar spine.

Release

This release includes the summary data from the 2017 study of DNA methylation-based epigenome-wide association study meta-analyses. These files include summary statistics for approximately 450,000 DNA methylation probes.

Data file description

Each file contains the following information:

Illumina probe ID Effect estimate for the meta-analysis Standard error of the effect estimate for the meta-analysis Association P-value Direction of Effect in cohorts, ordered alphabetically if included in the analysis (ALSPAC, DTR, FS, RS, TUK) Heterogeneity I-squared value Heterogeneity Chi-squared statistics Heterogeneity degrees of freedom Heterogeneity P-value Probe chromosome Probe position (hg19) Annotated gene for probe
